Phos Guard quickly and effectively removes phosphates and silicates from freshwater and marine aquariums. It is not recommended to use it in fresh water buffered with phosphorus compounds. The product has the form of porous granules, which increases the surface of its contact with water. The spherical shape of the Phos Guard particles ensures optimal water flow between them after placing the product in the filtration chamber. Phos Guard is the only one on the market in the form of balls. Important: alumina is not regenerable and its heating in the oven does not restore phosphate capture capacity. The reason for this misunderstanding is the industrial use of alumina for dehumidifying air. In fact, the accumulated moisture is easiest to remove by heating, but you cannot get rid of captured chemicals.
